Maritime Industry uses several Different Early Stage Design Processes
We Performs Requirements Trade Studies Using Specialized Design Synthesis Tools Combined With An Evaluation Process
Our Process Combines Best Elements Of Set-based Design, UTE/TIES, The Point Design Approach And Our Own Lessons Learned
Level of Effort is Adapted to the “Complexity” of the Particular Effort
The Skirt Design for any ACV or SES can make or break the operational capability of a craft. A poor design will 1) cause high craft resistance, 2) potentially suffer from finger instability and may result in an unacceptably high level of Cushion generated spray.
Our Associates have been directly involved and lead the design of the USN LCAC Deep Skirt, the Finish Navy's T-2000 TUULI Deep skirt and the RoKN LSF-II Deep Skirt. We have the tools and expertise to develop a design that will meet or exceed your requirements
A Sub-Scale Skirt Model can have several hundred individual components that must be assembled in the correct order and sewn together in a manner that will stand up to the abuse that sub-scale models are subjected to.
We have professional seamstresses who can cut out your lofted component designs and assemble them in an expeditious and cost effect manner
There are no commercial off-the-shelf tools like NavCad or SHIPMO to assess the resistance and seakeeping performance on an ACV or SES. Our Associates have the experience and knowledge for performing such assessments. They have developed sophisticated performance assessment tools that have been successfully used on several different programs
There is a broad spectrum of fan types including Axial Fans, Centrifugal Fans (both narrow and wide), and mixed flow fans. Each fan type has its best operating region withing the spectrum of delivered pressure and flow.
Additionally, every craft has it's own unique fan pressure and flow requirements that is dependent on several craft attributes.
Our Associates have the knowledge, experience and expertise needed to match the best fan design to your particular requirements
If your needs only center around more conventional Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, we can usually help you there also. Our associates have a broad range of knowledge and experience with small to moderate sized ships and craft. And if we do not have the skill set your project requires, we will tell you so and help direct you to a company that does have the skills that you require.
If all you need is someone to come in and help you organize and manage your project, we have you covered there also. Our associates have decades of experience organizing and managing large and small projects. We are firm believers in good Systems Engineering and Team Building to keep your project on budget and on schedule.
